Probably the most beautiful harbour on the island of Thanet and my personal favourite. One day I was supposed to jump on the train to Guildford, instead I decided to go for a walk and ended up capturing this.
This is a movie I made quite a few years ago now and it shows a glimpse into life at the in-laws house. Regrettably both the dogs you see in the movie Jack and Aubrey have now both passed but they were certainly characters.
A few years ago I tried to capture the Ramsgate Ferry from Pegwell bay with mixed results, so what with being in the area I thought it would be worth while giving it ago again this time from above the ferry terminal. I like the results, however I was expecting another ferry to return to port once this one had left, it didn’t and after half an hour of waiting and no sight of another ferry I stopped the recording.

Broadstairs, famous for Charles Dickens has one of the most beautiful harbours on the Isle of Thanet. In this movie of the tide going out you can see the crabbing pool emerging from the waters.
So many ghosts stories exist about that stretch of beach!
The village of Reculver has eroded into the sea over the past few hundred years, originally it was built by the Romans in 43 AD. The only remains left are on a hilltop where an old church and bits of the old Roman fort lay buried.
Westbrook Beach, Margate is just round the corner. A busy beach even during the winter months.
Westgate-On-Sea Christmas Lights (2008)
I saw something going on outside the bedroom window and decided to stick the camera out, it was only later that I discovered that it was the turning on ceremony of Westgate’s Christmas lights.
